Skylight Books has always carried local zines, but on sale all week long are special selection of international culture and photography zines.

The Urban Craft Center is not just a well-stocked craft supply store–it’s also a place where you can go to take classes in bookbinding, papermaking or millinery; and make use of all the tools they have in their well-appointed studio space.

Usually, use of the studio isn’t free, but for the week of L.A. Zine Week, the Urban Craft Center is offering FREE studio time to use the 1″ and 2″ button maker.  They are also offering a 15% discount on all zines in stock!

Feb. 11: Champoy Hate: Cryptic shARTz opening reception at Home Room

“Part interactive experiment and part celebration of the satirical nature of “comix.” Champoy invites you to re-imagine art shows as a creative experience where the viewers can be more than just mere spectators of pictures hanging on a wall. What that means — you’ll have to figure out.
